Notes on the intended sequence of pages for new users of this site

This page contains notes/thoughts on the sequence of pages a person that enters this site will (should) look at.

When you go to http://wiki.lyx.org, the first page you get is LyX.Welcome. A person who is used to LyX but new to this site is supposed to follow this sequence of pages:

  • LyX.AboutLyX: Explains what LyX is
  • LyX.PageList: Lists pages in this group
  • :LyX.GroupMap: Overview of LyX related groups and their pages
  • Navigation: Instructions in how to navigate this site
  • SiteMap: Overview of entire site (i.e. what groups it is has)
  • SiteFAQ?: FAQ about/concerning this site

Important homepages

• LyX.LyX — homepage of the LyX group, and thus the centre page for the groups and pages that are directly related to LyX.
• Devel.Devel — homepage of the Devel group, and thus the centre page for the groups and pages about the development of LyX.
• Site.Site — homepage of the Site group, and thus the centre page for the groups and pages about this site, and how to use it.

Please note that LyX.LyX and Devel.Devel are actually in two separate wikis (called wiki fields). The page Site.Site and its corresponding group Site/ is on the other hand shared between the fields.
