<Request for next release: make citation reference boxes in screen like footnote reference boxes.>

It would be ideal if in the next release, there is an option to make the citation reference boxes on the editing screen behave like the footnote reference boxes. Currently, the citation reference box runs up to 45 characters long, taking up lots of space in the text and looking rather cumbersome when editing. By contrast, the footnote reference box is just Foot#. Wouldn't it be nice if there was something equivalent that could be activated for the citation reference box? Like Cit(first three characters of first reference).
