The latest version of LyX 1.4.3 for Windows is: 1.4.3-5 (released November 8, 2006)
- Download: lyx-143-5.exe. This installer will setup a complete LyX environment, required components will be downloaded automatically.
- A version of the installer with all components bundled is also available: lyx-143-5-bundle.exe. This version is intented to install LyX on multiple computers or for CD distribution.
- You can also use LyXWinInstaller to install LyX under Windows.

Installation notes
- Users of MiKTeX 2.4 can update to 2.5 using the MiKTeX updater or choose "Download MiKTeX" during installation to create a new MiKTeX 2.5 installation.
- LyX/Win 1.4.x will coexist happily with LyX/Win 1.3.7 so long as the two are installed in separate folders. User-level support files for LyX/Win 1.4.x will be installed in the
LyX1.4.x subfolder of the Application Data folder.
- If you are using the official LyX 1.4.2 release, you can upgrade without uninstalling. If you have a previous version of LyX/Win 1.4.x installed, it is recommended to uninstall before installing version 1.4.3.
