How to use LyX for articles in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (JASA). Note that the ASA does not recommend JASATeX for submission.

1.  Description

The Acoustical Society of America provides the LaTeX class JasaTeX for articles submitted to its journal.

2.  Installation

  1. Download the ZIP-archive from ftp://ftp.aip.org/asa/
  2. Open the archive and go to the subfolder texmf-JasaTeX.
  3. Extract the subfolders doc, doc and tex to the installation folder of your LaTeX distribution. Assuming that you are using MiKTeX extract it to
    C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\ .
  4. To make the new files visible for MiKTeX, use the Start menu Programs->MiKTeX->Settings and press there "Refresh FNDB".
  5. In LyX use the menu Tools->Reconfigure, and then restart LyX.

3.  Template

LyX includes the template file JASA.lyx.
